Meet a mezcal that could only come from Michoacán: La Luna's Espadincillo is made from a rare agave native to the region, not the Espadín you'll find down in Oaxaca. The piñas are roasted over white oak in a stone-lined pit, milled by hand, and double-distilled in a copper-and-pinewood Tarascan still. Expect cooked agave, cut grass and mint on the nose, then sweet lemon and tropical fruit with a gentle whisper of smoke. Bottled at 48.51% ABV (97.02 proof), it sips beautifully neat or anchors a bright, herbal cocktail.
