Kyro - Game of Thrones 'Whisky of Blood' 100% Malted Rye Whisky
Kyrö Game of Thrones Whisky of Blood is a limited-edition Nordic malted rye whisky created by Finland’s Kyrö Distillery Company in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery. Released in May 2026 to mark the 15th anniversary of Game of Thrones and the third season premiere of House of the Dragon, this bottle honors House Targaryen's legacy. It provides an elegant, fruit-forward contrast to its heavily smoked sibling release, Whisky of Fire.
It is made from 100% unsmoked Finnish malted rye. Malting rye is a complex, biologically intensive process that coaxes out rich, expressive sugars from the grain.
The spirit ages in a dual-cask program featuring ex-bourbon barrels and French oak casks. The bourbon barrels impart creamy vanilla and fruit, while the French oak adds a tighter, more robust woody structure to rein in the natural rye heat.
Nose: Bright cereals, a touch of apple and apricot, tonka bean, chestnut, beeswax
Taste: Fruity, sweet, underlying rye spice: chestnut, créme brûlée, toasted cereals
Aftertaste: Lingering spice, tonka vanilla, rye
