Kvareli is its own PDO within Kakheti, and the producer credits the black schist in its soils for the balance here. 100% Saperavi, fermented in stainless steel and then aged 15 months in oak barrels. Dry and structured, with fine-grained tannins and a smoky edge from the wood.
