From Koloa Rum Company's distillery in Kalaheo on Kaua'i, this Single Barrel Kaua'i Reserve is distilled from pure Hawaiian cane sugar and rested at least five years in charred American white oak, bottled cask-strength one barrel at a time. Expect a deep amber pour with aromas of sugarcane, orange peel and oak, unfolding into a bold, high-viscosity palate of toasted vanilla, brown butter and honey through a long, warm finish. A serious sipping rum built for a slow evening and a good cigar.
