"A delicious Manhattan made with Knob Creek maple bourbon is available at the Bethlehem Hotel. Stores in Pennsylvania do not carry it. We also like the Jim Bean maple, but it seems to be no longer available. Total Wine has inventory, and their doorstep delivery is practical."

"I prefer drinking and enjoying bourbon. I like maple syrup since I'm Canadian. I like to drink it neat, however the first couple of swallows were a little too sweet for my taste despite how much I like the maple flavor. After a few days, I start looking forward to enjoying one at night. similar to a desert Bourbon. I'll buy a few extra bottles just in case I'm part of a smaller group who enjoys this one and it sells out."

Improves after a few sips

"It reminded me of taking a swig from a bottle of Log Cabin syrup when I took my first sip of Knob Creek maple bourbon. Nearly gaggingly sweet Interesting though, it tasted much better after the third drink as the alcohol began to emerge and balance against the maple. To be honest, I don't consume sweets or appreciate syrupy liqueurs, so the maple flavor may be stronger to me than to other people. I even tried experimenting by adding a little "normal" bourbon and that worked pretty well. unquestionably worth a shot. However, would I repurchase it? Most likely unlikely"

In a bottle, an old-fashioned

"On a whim, I took this. Although I like whiskey neat most of the time, I do occasionally create an old fashioned with maple syrup. Although Knob Creek advises adding an extra dash of sugar to their recipe, I find this to be sweet enough straight out of the bottle. Orange peel, Bordeaux cherries, and a dash of bitters—done. Although extremely subtle on the palate, the smoke is there in the nose. Kind of wished there was less maple and more smoke. . ."
