Overview

More Info

Jim Beam Double Oak is first aged in a newly charred American White Oak barrels. Then, we pour it into another freshly charred white oak barrel to mature for a second time. The added interaction with the oak results in a liquid intense in flavor and smooth in taste.

Tasting notes

Nose: Full-bodied vanilla, old oak, milk chocolate and a kick of cardamom.

Palate: Subtly peppery/oak-y at first. Soon enough, waves and waves of vanilla ice cream bring balance to the palate. A few touches of fruity malt.

Finish: Charred oak toastiness lingers long on the finish.

★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ 3/5 AI Rating

Reviewers appreciate Jim Beam Double Oak as a genuinely successful innovation from the Beam family that gives the classic white label bourbon a meaningful step-up in wood character through secondary barrel maturation. Fans describe enhanced notes of toasted oak, caramel, vanilla, and a richer, spicier finish that the double barreling produces without losing the bourbon's approachability. It represents excellent value for the quality delivered. A widely praised entry-to-mid-tier bourbon that earns its popularity through a simple but effective idea executed well.

You should definitely give it a try, in my opinion.

"When I first bought it, I was eager to open the seal to see if there was a noticeable distinction from conventional beam. I'm delighted to say that the pour tastes fantastic whether it's served neat or with a splash of branch. The following day, I returned and purchased 3 more."

I was unaware that it featured a spice character.

"I was anticipating a really strong and pungent oak flavor. I just taste cinnamon and a pleasant sense of mellow wood when I take a sip. It's extremely smooth in either case, and I'll appreciate it whenever I want something a little different."

The experience is not improved with Double Oak.

"Purchased this on the basis of a referral to use as a cheap wild card in one of our blind tastings. It finished last because it just couldn't stand up, not because it was expensive. In the same tasting, we have less expensive options that are positioned near the front."

Ideal whisky for your daily need

"As a whiskey user who enjoys trying new things and has a reputation for being a bit daring, I typically purchase a different bottle whenever I go shopping. I prefer whiskey that has a powerful, bold flavor. To cut a long tale short, and to speak more for the product than for myself, this is the ideal beverage at an incredible value! Although I don't often write reviews, I've already given it my highest recommendation to all of my fellow whiskey drinkers. I assume that you are only here to make the same recommendation and not to read mine. I can't express how fantastic this bottle is if you appreciate powerful whiskey that isn't overpowering to sip neat. . . You've met your soul mate! I can say with confidence that I've found my go-to, while I can't guarantee I won't try others in the future."

WHAT is the location of this beam? ( a play on words )

"The bottle releases a lovely scent. then enticing me with its sweet flavor. all the flavors that make up a wonderful bourbon. Just a mountain of deliciousness in a bottle—caramel, toffee, a tiny bit of oak."

Laure M. (5/5)

The two rocks and the Double Oak

"I was forced to give up my cherished red stag black cherry since the evidence was just 65%. To find black double oak, I experimented with buffalo trail, manufacturers mark, and even jack honey. till Red Stag ups the alcohol concentration, pleasant drinking."

Phoebe D. (4/5)

The top bourbon to relax while sipping a cigar currently available.

"I've hauled alcohol for PLCB and have truly educated about bourbon, and this is by far my favorite. I recommend it to everyone of my friends and advise them not to quit drinking it since it is superior to knobb Creek."

Aidrian M. (5/5)

Besides Bookers, this is the greatest bourbon I've ever drank.

"I shared a bottle with a bourbon enthusiast buddy, and he said that it was the greatest he had ever tasted. This has a lot of character. Genuinely sweet, yet not overly so. Exactly right. Without a doubt, I'll buy it again."

It was a home run.

"Shared this with the other poker players when he took it to the table. Each participant was impressed and delighted to have some. I received a thank-you note from the organizer. the most exceptional bourbon!"
