Aged for 5 years in Bourbon, Chibidaru, and ex-red wine barrels, this whisky is released annually for the American market. This is bottled at 30 PPM (parts per million) of peat, which is light in comparison to typical peated Islay whisky.
Tasting notes
Expect a fruity and sweet nose with cherries, caramel, peat, and a touch of cereal. It's equally fruity on the palate with dark fruit notes, vanilla, oak, mint, and a touch of spice, culminating in a satisfyingly smooth finish with lingering smoke.
