These casks are constructed of French oak and have been used for three rotations of Amarone before being filled with our single malt Irish whiskey. Tasting notes
Aroma: Caramelized pears, apple pie filling, brown sugar, and candied cherries evolve into notes of cinnamon crumble, Earl Grey tea, and fresh malted barley. A hint of thyme and lavender on the close.
Palate: Big, full, and expressive. The cask strength holds nothing back, opening with a soft cocoa note that quickly dissipates into honey butter tones, accompanied by an intense punch of tree fruit in the mid-palate. It finishes dry, with a touch of black tea and hints of the lush tannins from Amarone.
