Henry McKenna brought his family's whiskey recipe with him from Ireland in 1837 and settled in Fairfield Kentucky, founding his distillery there in 1855. He soon adapted his techniques to the local Kentucky grains, particularly corn, and began producing what became known as "Kentucky's Finest Table Whiskey." To this day, Henry McKenna Bourbon honors that heritage with a Bourbon that can be served with pride and poured without pretension.
Tasting notes
The flavor of this bourbon is very light and crisp - almost like a blended whiskey. A bit of the maple sweetness comes through and there's a decent amount of oaky taste with vanilla and caramel tones.
