Cognac as a symphony? That was Maurice Fillioux's idea in 1979, when Hennessy's sixth-generation Master Blender wove together more than 100 eaux-de-vie for Paradis. Distilled from Grande and Petite Champagne Ugni Blanc and rested in centuries-old French oak, the blend pours an amber gold with copper glints. Expect jasmine and warm spice on the nose, then honey, candied fruit, and a long, silky finish. Pour a small measure into a warmed snifter and let it open slowly.
Tasting notes
Color: The eaux-de-vie in Hennessy Paradis have been aged only in very old barrels, thus giving this cognac its amber gold color and hues.
Nose: On the nose, this blend exudes floral notes and jasmine, underpinned by delicate notes of cinnamon and exotic fruit.
Palate: A graceful, silky texture leads to a flavorful and deep, persistent finish.
