Alchermes is a spiced Italian liqueur tradition dating to the 8th century, and Heirloom — the Bittercube bitters team's spirits label out of Minneapolis — is one of the very few producers making it stateside. Cinnamon, clove, cardamom and coriander bring warmth, rose water and vanilla soften the edges, and the scarlet color nods to the old-world original. At 40% ABV, it's built for a Negroni riff, an Alchermes spritz, or sipped neat at room temperature.
