Gracias A Dios Piña Mezcal comes from Oaxaca, Mexico, where maestro mezcalero Oscar Hernández double-distills 100% Espadín agave alongside fresh pineapple from the Central Valley before the final run. Piñas are roasted for days in an underground pit oven, then the mash ferments in pine vats before two passes through the copper still. The result opens with ripe pineapple and citrus, moving into cooked maguey, brown sugar, and a whisper of smoke on a medium finish. Pour it neat to taste the fruit-forward layers, or shake it into a mezcal margarita.
Tasting notes
Clear color. Opens with pineapple notes, followed by sweet and sour fruit notes and lemon. Primarily pineapple with hints of caramel and cooked maguey. Medium-short Finish. Serve neat at room temperature or slightly chilled. Highly recommended for cocktails.
