Gnarly Head grows its Cabernet Sauvignon in Lodi, California, then ages a portion of the wine in bourbon barrels, letting the spirit's char lend caramel, brown sugar, and toasted oak to the grape's own blackberry and fig character. The result is full-bodied and layered, with vanilla, warm spice, and dense tannins carrying through to a bold finish. Sip Something New by pouring it alongside smoky grilled steak, maple-glazed pork, or sharp aged cheddar, letting the bourbon-barrel warmth meet the meal's own char and sweetness.
Tasting notes
Layered with suggestions of blackberry, vanilla and warm spice with notes reminiscent of Bourbon: caramel, butterscotch and charred oak.
