GlenAllachie's Cuvée Cask Finish is a Speyside single malt with a twist: after its first years in ex-bourbon barrels, this 2012 vintage spent 20-plus months finishing in European wine barriques — Languedoc, Recioto della Valpolicella, and two undisclosed Bordeaux Premier Cru Classé casks. The result leans into orange blossom, espresso, and maraschino cherry on the nose, with dark chocolate and blackberry underneath. Unchill-filtered and naturally colored. Pour it neat after dinner alongside dark chocolate or espresso.
