Overview

More Info

Campbeltown is Scotland's smallest whisky region — just three distilleries left, Glen Scotia among them since 1832. Victoriana Cask Strength is their homage to that Victorian heritage: bourbon-cask matured whisky finished up to a year in heavily charred barrels and Pedro Ximenez sherry butts, then married for six months. Bottled non-chill filtered at 54.2% ABV, expect crème brûlée and caramelized fruit on the nose, roasted sugars and blackcurrant on the palate, cocoa on the finish. A splash of water opens it right up.

Reviewers praise Glen Scotia Victoriana Cask Strength as a bold, richly layered expression that showcases the underrated Campbeltown distillery at full intensity. Fans appreciate the combination of heavily charred American oak and PX sherry casks that deliver a complex palate of dark chocolate, dried raisins, coal smoke, and maritime salinity. The cask-strength delivery amplifies every element without losing balance. Enthusiasts regard it as one of the finest value propositions in premium cask-strength Scotch whisky.
