This 100-proof bourbon began distillation in August 2008 with a mashbill of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley. The result is a delectable bourbon that balances sweet notes with spicy and smoky elements. An intense profile of dried cherries and caramel nuance jumps out of the glass. This is underlined by hints of fine tobacco leaf and smooth tannins that lend a lengthy, warm, earthy feel.
