The best whiskey I've ever tried in its price range.

"The flavor resembled a fine brandy and whiskey combined together. I was forced to give up all other strong beverages, including Jack Daniel's, by Four Roses. As soon as you take a sip of "Four Roses," the flavors are clearly layered. making you disregard its smooth strength. And then, because of how surprisingly smooth the intensity is, you start to disregard the flavors. It was well made! I'm eager to try their more expensive things if their base offering is good."

There's no way to mess this up!

"I've only recently started drinking bourbon. I've tasted all four Four Roses side by side and actually prefer this one; this is probably because my palate is still developing and hasn't fully developed the complexities of the finer varieties. I love mixing it or drinking it straight up!"

Four Roses Turned Me Into a Bourbon Fan

"I've only ever appreciated Michter's Bourbon, and that was a single serving. I gave my wife a Four Roses after she requested a bourbon with dinner. I bought a bottle because I like that glass so much. The description fits well. This whiskey is excellent for sipping as a desert at the end of the night. It is satisfying even though it isn't very sweet. Since then, we've tasted bourbons (like Woodford Reserve)."

An excellent non-GMO bourbon

"For an excellent bourbon, this pricing is quite reasonable. Additionally, it is manufactured from guaranteed non-GMO corn! To my knowledge, Wild Turkey is the only other business that does this. Products made by companies like Jack Daniels employ GMO maize. Thank you, Wild Turkey and Four Roses!"

Your domestic booze is here.

"You should fill the bar with regular bourbon. The best deal on the bourbon shelf, it has no drawbacks, so give it a try. This is a superb example of our national beverage. It comfortably sips over ice at 80#. Flowery nose; bourbon's Glenlivet."

Fantastic Daily Bourbon

"The Four Roses Yellow Label Bourbon is a great everyday bourbon. We've gone through a lot of these bottles. Yes, it lacks the sophistication of fine bourbons, but that is not its intended use. It's a great mixer that tastes even better with a little ice. I heartily advise going to their stunning distillery. One more thing: on a recent trip to Paris, the culinary discrimination capital of the world, we visited a ton of small markets but saw no Jim Beam; instead, Parisians drank Four Roses yellow label."

Standard Bourbon

"Undoubtedly a mixing bourbon or one to add ice cubes to and sip on while grilling outside on a hot summer day. This bourbon is simply too flat and basic to satiate your hunger for flavors and variety. However, you could do worse if you want a beautiful, clean Old Fashion or Manhattan."

For a Cheap Bourbon, It was Okay.

"It's a good value bourbon for the money. However, I'm disappointed in it. I'm not getting it after reading the taste notes. It seems harsh to me and uses more water than I usually put in my glass. Bourbon is typically consumed plain or with a little water. I'm not smelling any fruit, chocolate, coffee, or leather, but the bourbon did open up and sweeten up a little with a flavor of honey when I added more water. Although I don't drink cocktails, this would work well for that. If I want a nice drinking bourbon at a reasonable price, I'll continue to drink Maker's or Buffalo Trace. Of course, you may purchase a lot better bourbon if you are willing to pay more. I am aware that Four Roses has a wide range of alternatives that I could prefer."

On the middle ground

"For the price, a decent bourbon. Although there are extremely powerful toffee aromas on the nose, the taste does not live up to this initial impression. If you don't want to spend a fortune, this is a good sipper."

FelizYMarco (3/5)

Little to no bourbon flavor:

"It hardly has any personality; it tastes barely aged and has very little bourbon flavor. There is no way this should be sipped. Only a mixed drink should be made with it."
