Named for the five smooth stones David carried into battle against Goliath, this Judean Hills red comes from Five Stones Vineyards' Elah Valley plots — the very ground where that fight is said to have happened. Five Stones grapes (Marselan, Carignan, Petite Sirah, Shiraz, and Alicante Bouschet) go into the blend in an even split, giving jammy dark fruit, raspberry, and a savory streak of oregano and thyme against firm tannins.
