Ferrand Dry Curaçao is Maison Ferrand's revival of a lost 19th-century recipe, built from bitter Laraha orange peel and sweet oranges macerated in unaged French brandy, distilled, then blended with aged Ferrand Cognac. The result is a citrus liqueur worlds apart from mass-market triple sec: orange blossom and toasted oak on the nose, bittersweet orange, marzipan, and warm Cognac spice on the palate, finishing long and dry. Produced in France, it's the backbone of a proper Sidecar or Margarita, or sip it neat as a digestif.
Tasting notes
Aromas of orange blossoms combined with candied orange zest as well as toasted wood notes reminiscent of aged Cognac.
