More Info

What people across the internet are saying
★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ 4/5 AI Rating

Reviewers on Breaking Bourbon and The Bourbon Culture call Evan Williams 1783 Small Batch a 'tremendous value' — caramel, vanilla, cherry and Tootsie Roll on the nose, cinnamon spice and mild oak on the finish. The Whiskey Wash agrees: simplistic but enjoyable, no defining edge but a perfectly good sub-$30 sipper.

The sweet spot is 1783 Small Batch bottles.

"Simply said, 1783 Small Batch is the best-tasting bourbon available in the market today. I have not yet had the opportunity to try a small batch bourbon of the same caliber that matches 1783 in terms of flavor and price. There are other great Small Batch bourbons available, but you would need to spend about twice as much to get the flavor of 1783, I can tell you that since I tried. When I feel like having a very special bourbon, I pour 1783 neat into my preferred glass and just relax for a few hours. The unique bourbon that EW Distillers bottled in the 1783 Small Batch hits the sweet spot for me in terms of both price and quality."

Williams and I share a similar aesthetic preferences.

"Normally, I would buy two bottles of Crown Royal because I was having guests over. a little costly This was a good fit, and the Crown's taste and smoothness are nearly identical to the Even Williams small batch version. Strongly advise."

Norman P. (5/5)

The 1. 75L package is fantastic.

"Since a long time ago, I've been a fan of Evan Williams whiskey, first trying the Black label and subsequently the 100-proof bottled version. Our go-to drink is a 750 ml 1783 that I recently bought for my wife to taste. The 1. 75 l package is fantastic."

MonarchyT (5/5)

Superior to most mid-shelf bourbons that sell for twice as much.

"It has a significant amount of age behind it and it doesn't costs much for a tiny batch. It has undertones of molasses, caramel, oak, and roastiness and is dark and roasty. superior to most mid-shelf bourbons that sell for twice as much."

TophieDRE (5/5)

This bourbon is one of my favorites.

"My preferred bourbon is this one. Ideal tasting, incredibly smooth, and affordable beverage that is great for drinking. Although there are bourbons that taste better, they are all twice as expensive as Evan Williams 1783."

Felix D. (5/5)

For the price, the bourbon is respectable.

"Before this, I was drinking a bottle of Jim, which isn't the best either, but you can definitely see the difference in the sharpness of the flavor. For the price, it is still a respectable bourbon."

Olin25 (4/5)

Straight up, I like it.

"I prefer it straight and find it to be smoother than any overpriced bourbon I've encountered, including Makers Mark, Knob Creek, and others. Sadly, the shelves at Belmont Beverage in my neighborhood are never stocked."

My Favorite Bourbon

"Regularly, my preferred bourbon. Great taste, great finish, and great scent. The finest bourbon deal on the market right now!"

Nicole A. (5/5)

Excellent whiskey for sipping.

"An excellent whiskey for sipping, the Evan Williams 1783 was really smooth. It was also reasonably priced. I would only order from Tipxy because of their excellent service."

Sheene L. (5/5)

A great deal for a decent kick.

"It's awesome! Some people may see the pricing and assume it's cheap, but it has a smooth kick and a great price."
