Brumaire takes its name from the fog that rolls through the Russian River Valley, cooling the vines just enough to coax Chardonnay to a gentle, even ripeness. EnRoute, part of the Far Niente family, blends two personalities here: a warm-site Wente clone lending oily texture and tropical notes, and a cool-climate Rued clone bringing floral perfume. Barrel aging rounds it into something creamy yet bright, with key lime, lemon zest and baked-apple spice. Pour it chilled alongside roast chicken or a wedge of soft cheese.
