From Atotonilco El Alto in the Jalisco highlands comes a tequila the Núñez Muro family has made since 1937. El Viejito's blue agave matures in the fields for years before it's slow-cooked in traditional stone-and-brick ovens, fermented, then double distilled through a copper-and-stainless hybrid still and bottled unaged at 42% ABV. The result pours bright and crisp, with citrus and green apple up front, fresh agave and white pepper on the palate, and a warm, lingering finish — built for a clean margarita or sipped straight.
