El Viejito comes from a family distillery in Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco, founded in 1937. This reposado starts with mature highland blue agave, slow-cooked in brick ovens and double distilled in copper and stainless pot stills, then rested roughly six months in American oak. Expect a golden pour with vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak on the nose, followed by warm cooked agave, a touch of spice, and citrus on the palate. Sip it neat, on the rocks, or in a smoky Old Fashioned.
