Here's a tequila with a French accent. El Tesoro Paradiso is an extra anejo from the Camarena family's La Altena distillery in the Los Altos highlands, made from brick-oven-roasted blue Weber agave and rested five years in ex-Cognac French oak barrels, a collaboration with Cognac maker Alain Royer. That long sleep brings butterscotch and herbs forward, with soft smoke, oak, and tropical notes over an earthy minerality. Bottled at 40% ABV. Pour it neat and sip slow.
