Overview

More Info

Here's a tequila with a French accent. El Tesoro Paradiso is an extra anejo from the Camarena family's La Altena distillery in the Los Altos highlands, made from brick-oven-roasted blue Weber agave and rested five years in ex-Cognac French oak barrels, a collaboration with Cognac maker Alain Royer. That long sleep brings butterscotch and herbs forward, with soft smoke, oak, and tropical notes over an earthy minerality. Bottled at 40% ABV. Pour it neat and sip slow.

What people across the internet are saying
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5 AI Rating

Reviewers praise El Tesoro Paradiso Extra Anejo as one of the most distinguished tequilas on the market, with its extended aging in ex-Cognac barrels producing a transcendent interplay of agave, dried fruit, vanilla, and dark chocolate that draws inevitable comparisons to world-class Cognac and single malt Scotch. Enthusiasts describe the finish as extraordinarily long and complex, evolving in the glass for several minutes. Its rarity and meticulous production make it a prized collector's expression that many consider a landmark bottling for the entire Extra Anejo category. Reviewers universally recommend it for the most discerning sipping occasions.
