Most reposados rest in used bourbon barrels — El Luchador takes a different route, aging its 100% blue agave spirit in French white oak that previously held white Burgundy from Puligny-Montrachet. The agave comes from the iron-rich highlands of Los Altos, Jalisco, and four to six months in those wine-soaked staves bring out roasted agave, bright citrus, and vanilla. Named for Mexico's masked lucha libre wrestlers, it's a playful bottle with real depth — sip it neat or stir into a reposado old fashioned.
