Named with a wink, El Bandido Yankee's Reposado is anything but a gimmick — the blue weber agave grows above 6,000 feet in the Los Altos highlands, in red volcanic clay that gives Jalisco tequila its backbone. Master distiller Karina Rojo twice-distills it in copper pots at El Viejito Distillery, then rests it four months in stripped, re-charred bourbon barrels. Expect roasted agave and citrus up front, cinnamon and oak settling in after. Good sipped neat or built into a smoky Old Fashioned.
