Dos Maderas 5+3 is a rum with a passport. It starts life in Barbados and Guyana, aged five years in ex-bourbon casks, then takes a detour to Jerez, Spain, for three more years resting in 20-year-old Palo Cortado sherry casks under the Solera system. That double journey shows: pecan, vanilla, and smoky oak on the nose, ripe tropical fruit and spice on the palate, with sherry and a whisper of tobacco lingering on the finish. Pour it neat to taste the layers, or over ice for something slower.
