Here's a rum that spends its first decade in the Caribbean and finishes school in Spain. Distilled from Guyana and Barbados spirit, Dos Maderas Luxus ages ten years in ex-bourbon casks, then travels to Jerez for five more in 20-year-old Pedro Ximenez sherry casks via the solera method. The result leans into vanilla, almond husk, tobacco and black tea, with dried fruit and spice and a genuinely velvety finish. Pour it neat or over a single big cube.
