Here's a rum with two passports. Blended from Barbadian and Guyanese spirits, it spends five years aging in the Caribbean, then crosses the Atlantic to Jerez for a second act in Palo Cortado and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. That transatlantic double-wood journey (the "5+5") leaves it dark amber, with fig and raisin up front and a whisper of smoky oak and tobacco leaf on the finish. Pour it neat or over one big cube after dinner.
