Dos Caras Añejo is a highland tequila from Arandas, Jalisco, made with 100% Blue Weber agave and rested two years in American oak. Dos Caras shreds its raw agave and cooks it in vertical autoclaves for more precise flavor development, then double-distills first in stainless steel, then pure copper. The result: a nose of cooked agave and toasted coffee, a palate of caramel, vanilla, and butterscotch with hints of ginger and citrus, and a mellow, balanced oak finish. Sip it neat or build it into a barrel-aged Old Fashioned riff.
Tasting notes
Aroma: Sweet cooked agave leads the nose, complemented by medium oak undertones. Layers of vanilla, walnut, chocolate, butterscotch, and toasted coffee create a warm and complex bouquet.
