Effortlessly Smooth

"Recently, I've been experimenting with reposados in search of a fantastic sipping tequila to drink at night. I loved the Hornitos and Herradura was fantastic, but I believe I've found my match. Buttery smooth, but with just enough kick to make you aware of it. Worth every penny of the increased cost. Delicious!"

Most Excellent Reposado Available

"While working at a Mexican restaurant, I had my first taste of Don Julio Reposado, which was presented in a premium margarita. A few years passed and I went to an all inclusive resort in Cancun and drank the entire bottle in a weekend. It had plenty of sweet agave flavors and some oak notes, and it was quite smooth for sipping. I'm a huge advocate of drinking fine liquor. Don Julio is a sure thing."

My preferred tequila in general

"Don Julio is my choice if I can't compromise on price. El Espolon reposado is what I choose for margaritas and for less money. Don Julio tastes fantastic on the rocks, combined in margaritas, with Coke, etc. But I really believe that at $90 or more a bottle, you need to be sipping this straight. I've had tequila that was more costly, but I don't believe anything is a greater value than the Don."

Tequila makes a great drink or shot!

"I've been drinking the Don Julio Anejo tequila & really liked that until a friend suggested the reposado. This tequila is even better! It's a smooth shooting tequila that won't make you shudder like the anejo's can do. Well worth the price. . ."

I do a couple drinks

"You may be less prone to get Alzheimer's disease if you have one or two drinks a few times per week. In fact, one of the 10 "brain healthy" food groups on the MIND diet, which is particularly intended to reduce your risk of the disease, includes wine. Additionally, it lowers the chance of heart disease and stroke, both of which can hasten the progression of Alzheimer's."

The sole tequila to be consumed

"I adore every product DJ makes. I treated me to a buy of 1942 recently. The smoothness of all their tequila is what makes me a die hard admirer. I advise everyone considering tasting tequila to do so. Although it is more expensive than others, you do get what you pay for."

Fantastic for the price range

"One of the top tequilas available for less than $90. Naturally very smooth and made entirely of agave. Not the same as the more premium tequilas that resemble cognac, but that's not what it's supposed to be. It's one of the few tequilas that can truly be sipped because of this. I like anejo tequilas for sipping and silver tequilas for margaritas or tequila "martinis". If you just have room for one bottle and want to do both, a reposado is a suitable compromise. can, of course, be chilled for shots as well."

A Truly Magnificent Tequila

"Wonderful, smooth, and wonderful to drink on tequila. I tried this because Don Julio makes my favorite Blanco, and I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely an improvement over the Blanco, and I'd recommend it to anyone trying to discover a new tequila favorite."

Most likely the greatest reposado available now. 10/10

"Most likely the best reposado available. Excellent for mixing drinks, shots, or drinking, with a very clean taste. Amazingly smooth and well-balanced. This is a fantastic option whether you are a tequila enthusiast or a novice."

I've had the best tequila ever.

"When tequila first started to become more than a punishing shot slurped from some girls bosom at a summer drunken fest, I grabbed a bottle while traveling through Mexico a few years ago. In my torturous relationships with tequila—which began with Cuervo and progressed to 1800, Husongs (excellent stuff), etc. —I believe I was quite typical. I know most people really like Patron but I personally find the DJ gold to be far smoother. My girlfriend at the time did NOT like neat liquors yet even she was able to take a shot without the classic tequila grimace. It's fascinating to me because at the time I bought it in Mexico, it was middle shelf in the local store in Puerto Vallarta whereas in the US it was top shelf. Makes we want to return and grab the out-of-reach tequila in the bottle of a man's head. hmm."
