Consistently Top-Notch

"Although Don Julio Aejo may not be the best tequila I have ever tried, I can't think of another that I have consistently enjoyed better. Is it expensive? Depending on your budget, I suppose, but if I'm purchasing tequila for sipping, I want the best distillation I can find that is consistently good, and this is it - hands down. It has a moderate, traditional tequila scent, a delicious flavor, and a smooth, smooth (have I mentioned smooth?) finish. Sure, you might get "better" if you spend a million dollars and a nickel on a speciality bottle of anything aged in golden fleece, but in my opinion, DJA is the "go to" option that never lets you down."

Unmissable tequila

"Don Julio is my ultimate favorite. Despite being one of my favorites for more than 15 years, there aren't many other tequilas to compare it against. Smooth; not just a shot, but something you can savor and sip. Love it by itself or with a small amount of grape (Fanta) or Sprite."

Its reputation was earned.

"I've just tried a few mature tequilas and have been astonished and let down by some of them. Don Julio genuinely lived up to its reputation, whereas El Patron appears to ride off its branding. I finished it first out of 4 other bottles despite receiving it last since I couldn't think of anything negative to say about it."

Built a reputation for itself

"Recently, I've tasted a few mature tequilas and have been pleasantly impressed by some and let down by others. El Patron appears to capitalize on its reputation, but Don Julio truly earned it. Despite receiving it last, I couldn't think of anything negative to say about it and, out of 4 other bottles, I finished it first."

Tequila should be tried. One of your favorites, undoubtedly!

"This tequila is really fantastic. Even after trying a huge variety of tequilas, DJ anejo is still one of my faves. You must taste this tequila! Patron is so much worse than DJ tequilas. You can judge for yourself if you try them."

Patterson (5/5)

Cheapest tequila available

"Patron is just too expensive. If you want quality tequila, get this bottle, which costs $90 or more. You won't regret choosing the 1942 if money is not an issue."

Joseph B. (5/5)

Best of best Tequila

"With no aftertaste or burn, I adore how smooth tequila is! There is one item I always have in my mini bar. The price you pay for the quality is really worth it."

Top tequilas on the market

"I adore how smooth the tequila is—there's no aftertaste or burn! There is unquestionably one item that I always have in my mini bar. The cost of getting quality is well worth it."

Cantrell (5/5)

Pretty Smooth Tequila

"This tequila is really smooth, yet I'm not a tequila expert. Salt and lemon are not necessary. For a side-by-side comparison, I must attempt the 1942."

Joel B. (5/5)

Extremely smooth tequila

"Although I don't consider myself a tequila expert, this spirit is really smooth. No need for salt and lemon. To compare the two, I must try the 1942."
