Combining one of the world’s most celebrated luxury tequilas with the rich cultural artistry of the Lunar New Year, the Don Julio 1942 Añejo Tequila (Year of the Goat Edition) is a rare collector’s treasure. Encased in a specially designed commemorative box and bottle motif honoring the Year of the Goat—a symbol of peace, creativity, and good fortune—this limited release makes an unforgettable centerpiece for celebrations and gifting.
Handcrafted in small batches in Jalisco, Mexico, using 100% estate-grown Blue Weber Agave, Don Julio 1942 is slow-cooked in traditional masonry ovens and aged for a minimum of two and a half years in American white oak barrels. Bottled at 80 Proof (40% ABV) in its signature elongated decanter, this añejo is famous for its rich amber hue and extraordinarily smooth character, overflowing with layers of rich caramel, toasted oak, roasted agave, and warm vanilla.
Nose: Rich and complex aromas of sweet caramel, warm vanilla, and roasted agave, complemented by subtle notes of tropical fruit, dark chocolate, and toasted oak.
Palate: Silky, round, and indulgent. Layers of rich butterscotch, vanilla bean, roasted nuts, and subtle cinnamon spice coat the palate alongside sweet agave notes.
Finish: Remarkably long and elegant with lingering warm oak, sweet vanilla, and a soft, velvety agave glow.
