One of Del Maguey's original single-village mezcals, made high in the Mixe mountains south of Oaxaca, where the air runs so tropical that Hawaiian-style plants thrive. It's built from 100% Espadin agave, roasted in an earthen pit, crushed by a horse-drawn stone wheel, naturally fermented in open wooden tinas, then twice-distilled in copper. Expect a bright citrus nose, a little roasted pear, and tropical fruit that turns spicy and woody before a clean, dry finish. Pour it neat and sip slowly.
