This smartly packaged bottle contains only spirit distilled from grape from the Petit Champagne cru, and as this is a VSOP, this spirit is at least four years old, yet some of this Cognac is 12 years old, making for a tremendous balance of flavour. This is a wonderful example of VSOP Cognac, with excellent poise between the fruity spirit and the oaky cask. Burst notes of almond, citrus peel and woodspice ensure that this is a flavoursome option, ideal for after dinner drinking.
Tasting notes
On the nose are summer rose petals, and some darker, fruity notes of prunes, candied fruit, fruit cake. On the palate are prunes, vanilla, and cocoa. The finish is long and strong.
