Long before "Russian River Valley" was an official appellation, Davis Bynum was already pouring wine labeled that way — the winery released the region's first single-vineyard Pinot Noir back in 1973, from the legendary Rochioli vineyard. Today's Russian River Valley Pinot Noir blends fruit from Santa Rosa Plains, Middle Reach, Green Valley, and a Petaluma Gap hillside, landing around 14.5% ABV with ruby color, cherry and raspberry aromas, and a palate of black cherry, blackberry, and vanilla. Pour it with roasted duck or mushroom risotto.
