From Clemens Busch, one of the Mosel's pioneering biodynamic estates, this Riesling draws its name from the rare blue Devonian slate that dominates the steep Fahrlay vineyard in Pünderich. Hand-harvested and fermented spontaneously with wild yeast in old Fuder barrels, it rests on its lees for months before bottling. Expect a dry, taut riesling built on saline minerality, white peach, apricot, and citrus, with a floral lift and long, stony finish. Pour alongside grilled trout, soft cheeses, or on its own as an ode to slate-driven Mosel terroir.
