Reviews

My favorite traditional sweet vermouth has a classic flavor.

"Cinzano is unbeatable for the pricing point. Martini & Rossi may be ahead financially, but I've always thought the M&R is too weak and watery. The flavor and texture of the Cinzano are superior. The perfect ratio of citrus, herbs (less oregano than M&R), and dark richness. It doesn't overrun a cocktail like a Negroni as a Carpano Antica might, but it does hold its own in a classic cocktail like the Manhattan or Martinez. Yes, you must purchase a 750 mL bottle, but a simple vermouth & tonic or an Americano (1 oz. Campari, 1 oz. sweet vermouth, soda) can help you enjoyably go through it. Highly suggested."

The Old Cinzano Rosso Is Missing

""Cinzano appears to have altered this vermouth's composition once more, producing a completely repulsive, cloyingly sugary mixer. This one isn't and will, deservedly, be poured down the drain! It used to be that one of the more traditional aperitifs was a Cinzano Rosso on the rocks with a twist of lemon peel; it was aromatic, nuanced, and flavorful and although quite sweet was refreshing and far superior to its Martini counterpart."

Greatest red vermouth ever, hands down!

"Most excellent red vermouth ever! I used to consume it while residing in Europe, but I was unable to locate it when I searched numerous liquor stores in the US. No one appeared to be carrying this beverage."

Keep It Argentinean.

"Argentina is a nation of immigrants, particularly those from Italy. Cinzano. . . fill glass with ice to the brim. . . add one slice of orange or lemon inside the glass, and fill the remaining 25% of the cup with carbonated water. There you go. Delicious."

Suitable For Manhattans

"On Manhattan Mondays and Forget-it Fridays, we like classic Manhattan cocktails, and this vermouth is our go-to option because of its exceptional flavor and low price."

I haven't attempted.

"Since I don't often get the chance to try rosso cenzano, I was finally able to locate a location where I could do so. I'll be back here soon to put some better reviews."

Beauchêne (3/5)

Dry is rated 5 while sweet is rated 3 ("funny taste").

"The dryness of this vermouth is around a five, and the sweetness is about a three. Although this vermouth is fantastic for mixing, I still seek something more."

A truly unique Vermouth

"You will adore the unique flavor and smoothness of this vermouth, which is excellent for blending cocktails."

This drink is perfect

"Due to its softness and sweet, savoring flavor, this beverage perfectly fits my preferences."

Unquestionably a favorite

"My mother's favorite for her Brandy Manhattan on the rocks—smooth, flavorful, and well balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness to bring out the brandy."
