Overview

Chateau Valandraud is a Premier Grand Cru Classé estate in Saint-Emilion, Bordeaux, founded in 1991 by Murielle Andraud and Jean-Luc Thunevin in Saint-Etienne-de-Lisse. This Bordeaux red blend is built primarily on Merlot grown on limestone-plateau soil with a thin clay cap, planted at high density for concentrated fruit. Extended barrel aging and careful racking shape a wine of silky tannins, deep aromatic complexity, and refined freshness. Pour it alongside roasted lamb or aged hard cheeses to match its structure.
