From a hamlet just outside Saint-Émilion, Château Peyfaures crafts its Petit Peyfaures as an easy-drinking expression of Bordeaux Supérieur — mostly Merlot rounded out with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented spontaneously with native yeasts; roughly a third of the blend rests in French oak while the rest stays in stainless steel, keeping the fruit bright. Expect a fresh nose of raspberry and redcurrant with soft, juicy tannins on the finish. Pour it alongside roast chicken, charcuterie, or a simple weeknight pasta.
