Château Leroy-Beauval is a Bordeaux Supérieur red from Saint-Sulpice-et-Cameyrac, a small estate on clay-limestone terrain between Libourne and Bordeaux run by Stéphanie and Alexandre Leroy. The blend leans Merlot-forward with Cabernet Sauvignon, hand-harvested and aged roughly a year in French oak, part new barrel and part tank, across cooperage from both Bordeaux and Burgundy. Expect raspberry, blackberry, and wild blackcurrant on the nose, with a full, balanced palate that gains notes of tobacco and truffle as it cellars. Pour it alongside braised beef, duck, or aged cheese.
