Château Lagrange is a Third Growth Bordeaux estate (1855 Classification) from Saint-Julien in the Médoc, its 118-hectare vineyard planted on gravel-clay-limestone soil in a single unbroken block. The blend leans heavily on Cabernet Sauvignon, rounded out by Merlot and a touch of Petit Verdot, then aged roughly 21 months in half-new French oak barrels. Expect a wine built for the long haul: powerful and taut in youth, easing over time into precise, layered red and dark fruit with polished tannins. Decant and pour alongside braised short ribs, aged cheeses, or a grilled ribeye.
