Independent bottler Chapter 7 hand-picked a single Glen Grant cask for this one, and it's a lovely window into Speyside's lighter side. Distilled in 1998 and left to rest 24 years in a single bourbon hogshead, it emerged at a natural 51.1% ABV, uncoloured and non-chill filtered. Expect fresh citrus, green apple and vanilla on the nose, with honeysuckle honey, lemon and a touch of rhubarb on the palate. Pour it neat with a few drops of water and let it slowly open up.
Tasting notes
Nose: Fresh citrus and green apples. Vanilla and barley syrup. Papaya and sponge cake.
Palate: Vanilla, apples and lemons. Honeysuckle honey and rhubarb.
Finish: Limoncello, sandalwood and vanilla.
