Overview

Château du Tertre has been making wine on this Margaux hillside for over a thousand years, one of the oldest estates on Bordeaux's Left Bank. A Fifth Growth in the 1855 classification, its 52 hectares sit on one of the highest points in the appellation, planted mostly to Cabernet Sauvignon alongside Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Expect red and dark berries, floral lift, and a peppery, spiced finish carried by soft tannins. Pour it with roast chicken, grilled lamb, or a mushroom pasta.
