Castellare di Castellina's Chianti Classico Riserva is a Sangiovese-driven red from Tuscany's Chianti Classico zone, blending 95% Sangioveto with 5% Canaiolo — both native varieties, with no international grapes in the mix. After fermenting in stainless steel, the wine ages roughly 15 months in used barriques, then rests another 15 months in bottle before release. Expect a ruby-to-garnet hue, a lifted violet aroma, and a dry, harmonious palate with fine tannins that turn silkier with age. Pour it alongside roasted poultry, red meat, or aged cheeses.
