Produced by the revered Cascahuín Distillery (NOM 1123) in El Arenal, Jalisco, Cascahuín Añejo Tequila is a benchmark expression of artisanal Valley-style tequila. Matured in seasoned American oak barrels for at least 14 to 18 months, this expression balances deep wood aging with the signature mineral-forward, roasted agave character for which the distillery is celebrated worldwide.
Traditional Brick Oven Cooking: 100% Blue Weber agaves are slow-roasted in traditional brick ovens (mampostería) to convert natural sugars while locking in rich, cooked agave depth.
Artisanal Extraction & Fermentation: Extracted using a combination of roller mills and traditional methods, followed by natural fermentation with proprietary yeast strains in open-air cement tanks.
Copper Pot Distillation: Double-distilled in traditional copper pot stills to preserve high viscosity and vibrant agave flavors.
Extended Barrel Aging: Rested for over a year in used American white oak barrels, allowing the spirit to soften and develop rich notes of vanilla, toasted nuts, and soft wood spice.
Nose: Rich, aromatic, and complex. Aromas of cooked agave, dark honey, and toasted oak intermingle with roasted almonds, vanilla bean, and subtle dry baking spices.
Palate: Silky, round, and full-bodied. Layers of sweet caramelized agave, toasted oak, and butterscotch give way to dark fruit, black pepper, and volcanic earth minerality.
Finish: Long, warming, and elegant. Fades gently with lingering notes of sweet wood tannins, light cacao, and soft cinnamon spice.
