Once made in a Boston distillery back in 1902, this pre-Prohibition recipe was rescued from history and now gets distilled in Switzerland's Val-de-Travers, absinthe's original homeland, by Claude-Alain Bugnon over 60 steps across three days. Grande wormwood, anise, fennel, hyssop, peppermint and citrus build a bold, minty-bright profile with that signature wormwood bitterness. Add four to five parts iced water and watch it louche into a milky pale green. Sugar cube optional. Sip Something New.
