Buchanan's 12 year is a good blended scotch, but I don't typically drink blends—not because I'm a snob, per se, just a single malt enthusiast. According to the reviews, I anticipated a lot of smoke. I failed to grasp it. Smoke is detectable in the taste and aroma but is not overt. I did detect the fruity, sweet aroma that was continued in the flavor. There are no residual flavors after the finish since it disappears so quickly. But it's still good. It's a pleasant and silky scotch. Very comparable to. Founders Reserve by Glenlivet (which is a good thing). You can't go wrong for $47. 99!"
