Brugal has distilled in Puerto Plata on the Dominican Republic's north coast since 1888, and Añejo is the house workhorse: a blend of rums aged up to five years in American oak. Dry-leaning for a Spanish-style rum, with enough backbone to hold its shape in a highball rather than disappear.
