Meet Borrego, Bozal's take on a lamb-kissed, pechuga-style mezcal — "borrego" means lamb, and that's the story here. Distilled in copper pot stills from Espadín and Barril agave in Río de Ejutla, Oaxaca, it uses Bozal's Sacrificio Method, suspending a leg of lamb during the second distillation. Expect citrus and floral aromas with a whisper of green pepper, then a palate balancing bright citrus and creamy banana over wet earth and gentle smoke. Sip it neat, slowly, when you want something genuinely different.
